  • It is a great privilege for Penang-based artist Yuen Chee Ling, beating thousands of renowned artists, to be invited  for "Olympic Fine Arts 2008", a parallel event run under the Olympic Organizing Committee. It is a mega event in the field of art.  This cultural event is to promote artistic communication and cultural cooperation between China and the world. The artwork by Yuen Chee Ling will be housed in the Olympic Fine Arts Museum at Tai Miao Temple in Beijing after touring the world for the next two years together with the selected artworks by 110 renowned artists from 80 countries.
  • Yuen Chee Ling has received international acclaims for her unique figurative style of the Pan Asian women type. She has held 15 solo exhibitions and participated in over 100 group shows in important national and state museums and art galleries locally and abroad. Yuen Chee Ling has 10 publications to her credit, including Yuen Chee Ling Figurative Paintings and Yuen Chee Ling- Painting, Portraitures and Sketches 1966-1999. Authoring: “Women by Women” and “Batik as Painting”. Paintings and biography listed in “Achievements of World Chinese Artists”,” 20th Century Women Artists” (1996). Paintings selected to grace the cover of Reader’s Digest, the Expats (2000 & 2008) and Cosmic (2003) and. Her paintings entitled: “Silver Chariot Procession” and “Two seated women” are in the collection of Malaysia National Art Gallery. Other important collections of her works include USM Museum, Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation Center, Pacific Bank, Bangkok Metropolitan Bank and numerous private collectors from America, Canada, England, Denmark, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.
